This site has been built to support the Santa's Magic Detector mobile application, which you can download using the links above.  With Santa’s Magic Detector, your phone’s camera can find Santa’s magic!!!  When Santa visits, he leaves a little bit of his magic behind.  With Santa’s Magic Detector you can search for Santa’s magic using your phone’s camera.  When Santa’s magic is detected, you’ll hear jingle bells and see a Santa face!  Two modes can be used.  In manual mode, Santa’s Magic Detector finds even the smallest traces of magic every time it scans, perfect for younger users who just want to know Santa visited.  In automatic mode Santa’s Magic Detector will search for more concentrated magic and will only detect magic on special items that Santa has touched, such as gift tags and stationery from Santa’s workshop, or cookie plates or mugs left out for Santa.  You can find a variety of items we’ve found that capture and hold Santa’s magic in concentrated amounts by visiting our Santa’s Magic Things store via the "Shop Products" link above.  We find the Enhanced Mode more exciting for older searchers who want to know exactly what Santa has left from his workshop or touched on his visit (and who sometimes grow skeptical when magic is found every time).  Younger users also love the Enhanced Mode to prove that Santa has interacted with a specific item.  It is always exciting when Santa’s magic is found!!!  You can find more information about the application and its modes on our Frequently Asked Questions page and our Product Tutorial page.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: WE DO NOT OFFER ANY REFUNDS for purchases of the Santa’s Magic Detector application or for purchases of items designed for use with the Santa’s Magic Detector application.  Items purchased through the Santa’s Magic Things store are unique and produced only once ordered. This means that returns and exchanges are not supported if you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply changed your mind.  In the case of a damaged product or a manufacturing error, a replacement or a refund may be available if you contact us within 20 days of product delivery. There is NO GUARANTY that printed products will work with the Enhanced Mode of the application and NO REFUNDS OR REPLACEMENTS will be available due to issues with products interacting with the Santa’s Magic Detector application.  While we have undertaken significant effort to ensure the Enhanced Mode will work with products purchased and printed, every device is different, and the Enhanced Mode may not always work with printed items.   See other areas in these FAQs for tips on getting the best experience using Enhanced Mode in the Santa’s Magic Detector application.  While we are dedicated to creating a fun and magical experience for our customers, we are a very small company created to bring an idea to life and we do not currently have the resources to offer refunds or replacements except in limited cases where manufacturing errors occurred and have been properly documented. 


Q: My product was damaged or had a manufacturing error; what is the process for addressing my issue? 


A:  In case of a damaged product or a manufacturing error, you may be eligible for a free replacement or a refund if you contact us within 20 days of product delivery. Please send an email to info@santasmagicthings.com and provide a clear photo showing the issue.  If there is an issue affecting multiple products that use the same design, an additional photo (or video) of all affected items visible in one frame will be required for confirmation purposes.  Please note that we will not be held responsible and will not offer replacements or refunds if you ordered the wrong size or color. Please note that there are variations in print placement, meaning that minor variations in the placement of the print will not be considered defects. 

 

Q: My product never arrived; how do I address this? 


A: In case of an unsuccessful delivery, please send an email to info@santasmagicthings.com and provide a description of the issue, including any applicable tracking numbers, order numbers or other identifying information.  Once the issue is confirmed, you may be eligible for a replacement with an extra charge or a partial refund.  

 

Q: How long does it take for an item to ship to me from the Santa’s Magic Things store? 


A: Shipping times are generally between 2 and 5 business day, depending upon your location and the product ordered.  However, shipping times may vary and you should note the shipping time when finalizing your transaction.  Upgraded shipping options may be available for an additional cost.

Category:  Using the Santa’s Magic Detector Application 



Q: What is the difference between the Normal and Enhanced Modes? 


A:  Normal Mode is a very simple mode and will find the smallest traces of Santa’s magic by pushing the “Scan” button.  Once magic is found, the Magic Detector will reset, and the “Scan” button can be pressed again to search for more Magic!  Since small amounts of Santa’s magic are always around, this mode is a surefire way to find Santa’s magic!  We find this mode best suited for younger searchers who want to find Santa’s magic everywhere.  

Enhanced Mode will search for more concentrated magic and will only detect magic on special items that Santa has been near or touched, such as gift tags, wrapping paper and stationery from Santa’s workshop, or cookie plates or mugs left out for Santa when he visits.  If you are using Enhanced Mode but are not scanning these special items, the Magic Detector will not be triggered, so you should switch back to Normal Mode to detect Santa’s Magic.  We find the Enhanced Mode more exciting for older searchers who want to know exactly which items Santa has left for them or touched on his visit (and who sometimes grow skeptical or bored when magic is found too often in Normal Mode).  Younger users also love to use this mode to confirm that Santa has interacted with a specific item.  However, only certain items hold Santa’s magic long enough to be detected in Enhanced Mode, so be sure to visit our Santa’s Magic Things store to find a variety of items that capture and hold Santa’s magic in concentrated amounts!  Please also note that Enhanced Mode works best on newer devices as it uses advanced technology to detect Santa's magic.  Older devices should still be able to search in Enhanced Mode but may need to be closer to the item to detect Santa's magic or be used in Normal Mode.  Please see the Frequently Asked Questions page for additional details regarding the use of older devices.   

 

Q: How do I exit the “Scanning” screen to get back to the home page? 


A:  Press the “Go Back” button at the top of the screen. 

 

Q: How do I switch between Normal and Enhanced Modes? 


A:  From the home screen, toggle the switch at the top right to choose between Normal and Enhanced Modes.   

 

Q: Will Normal Mode work with items from the Santa’s Magic Things store? 


A:  Normal Mode will always find small traces of Santa’s magic in the environment.  While Normal Mode will work properly when scanning items from the Santa’s Magic Things store, it is not necessary to purchase those items for Normal Mode to detect Santa’s magic.   

 

Q: Can I use Enhanced Mode without purchasing products from the Santa’s Magic Things store? 


A:  No, Enhanced Mode will only work when scanning the special items purchased from the Santa’s Magic Things store.  If you do not have those items, please switch to Normal Mode.  

 

Q: How do I use Enhanced Mode with items purchased from the Santa’s Magic Things store? 


A:  Once you have an item from the Santa’s Magic Things store, scan that item to detect Santa’s magic.  It is best to wait until after Santa has visited or interacted with an item to scan it for the first time.  However, our items are great at capturing Santa’s magic for detection, so they will often show traces of magic when scanned right out of the box.  Be sure to scan the decorative pictures on our products as we design our products to capture and hold Santa’s magic within those decorative pictures.  If you are having trouble detecting Santa’s magic, try getting closer to the product (even as close as 5-6 inches), holding the scanner on the product longer, or increasing the amount of light in the room.  Please also note that Enhanced Mode works best on newer devices as it uses advanced technology to detect Santa's magic.  Older devices should still be able to search in Enhanced Mode but may need to be closer to the item to detect Santa's magic.   

Q: I am using Enhanced Mode with a product or products from the Santa’s Magic Things store, but I’m having trouble detecting Santa’s magic; how can I solve this? 

A:  If you are having trouble detecting Santa’s magic, try getting closer to the product (even as close as 5-6 inches), holding the scanner on the product longer, or increasing the amount of light in the room.  Please also note that Enhanced Mode works best on newer devices as it uses advanced technology to detect Santa's magic.  Older devices should still be able to search in Enhanced Mode but may need to be closer to the item to detect Santa's magic.  Also note that Normal Mode will always be able to find traces of Santa’s magic, so you can always switch to Normal Mode and scan again.   

 

Q: What devices are compatible with the Santa’s Magic Detector application? 


A:  While we do not have a full list of compatible devices, Normal Mode should work with any device that can download the application.  Enhanced Mode works best on newer devices as it uses advanced technology to detect Santa's magic.  Older devices should still be able to search in Enhanced Mode but may need to be closer to the item to detect Santa's magic, be held viewing the item for a longer period of time, or have better lighting.
